Welcome to the Crescent Rural Fire Protection District’s website.  If you do not find the information you are looking for here, call our office during business hours and we will endeavor to provide your needed information.

Crescent RFPD has survived another Winter with minimal impact.  Our call volume is on track for our average of 300 alarms per year.  Thanks to the assistance of the SAFER grant, we are enjoying a paid staffing level of 3 line fire medics and 2 administrative positions.  This allows Crescent RFPD to continue providing ALS response and transport on a 24 hour basis.

The staff have been fruitful in their production.  We recently hosted a Firefighter 1 Academy in conjunction with the Klamath County Fire Training Association with 15 personnel in attendance, of which 9 are new volunteer certified firefighters for Crescent RFPD.  And since my last posting, we have sponsored 4 new volunteer EMT’s.

We continue to work toward stabilizing funding for the EMS side of our service.  To date we continue to supplement our EMS expenditures with fire tax dollars.  This dilemma is felt across the nation when it comes to organizations who provide the essential service of emergency transport.
